Burger fans of Beverley are in for a culinary treat next week as Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK) celebrates the opening of its new restaurant at Flemingate with a 100 cheeseburger giveaway.

Set to open its doors at midday on Monday, July 11, GBK Beverley will be the restaurant chain’s 73rd restaurant to open in the UK, creating 32 jobs in the local area.

Serving gourmet burgers since 2001, GBK kick-started the premium burger trend and was the first to introduce the concept into the London market. With a huge range of adventurous crafted burgers, GBK uses 100% prime beef, hand selected and traditionally reared on independent farms across the South West counties.

Laura Pettingale, GBK Marketing Manager, said: “We’re so excited to be opening in Beverley and we can’t wait to introduce local burger fans to our adventurous menu. We wanted to celebrate our arrival in Beverley properly – and what better way than with free burgers?”

Graham Tait, Flemingate Centre Manager, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Gourmet Burger Kitchen to Flemingate. GBK is one of the UK’s premier burger brands and adds to Flemingate’s ever-growing range of eating options.

“Flemingate is becoming firmly established as a retail and leisure destination offering a great choice of big-name brands and local independents.”

The interior of GBK takes inspiration from Beverley’s cobbled streets. Traditional features like rich oak timbers are mixed with mid-century design pieces, colours and textures, reflecting the celebrated culture of this town, past and present.

To celebrate the opening of the Beverley restaurant, GBK is giving away free cheeseburgers to the first 100 customers.  To be in with a chance to sample a free gourmet burger, head down to Flemingate from midday on Monday, July 11.

The £120m Flemingate development – Beverley’s largest-ever regeneration scheme – includes big-name brands such as Debenhams and H&M and is also home to the East Riding College campus, an 80-bed Premier Inn hotel and six-screen digital cinema, Parkway.
