Beverley’s popular Flemingate centre has teamed up with British Heart Foundation to spread the love this weekend and raise much-needed funds for the fight against heart disease.
Visitors to the retail and leisure destination will be able to write a heartfelt message of love and display it in the window of the leading charity’s pop-up shop between 10am and 3pm on Saturday, February 11, and Sunday, February 12. A giant heart-shaped mascot will be on hand over the weekend to spread some romance and raise awareness of the British Heart Foundation’s vital research into cardiovascular disease.
There will also be a giant 8ft heart balloon frame and a mini 3ft heart frame for romantic couples to use to take selfies and share them on social media to celebrate the Valentine’s weekend. Youngsters can also join in the fun and receive a free red balloon.
Graham Tait, Flemingate Centre Manager, said: “We’re pleased to be teaming up with the British Heart Foundation charity to have some fun on the weekend before Valentine’s Day while also raising funds and awareness for a very worthwhile cause.”
The love messages will cost £1, with business sponsorship packages available from £10, and all proceeds will support the vital work of the British Heart Foundation.
