The magic of Christmas returns to Flemingate this November with its biggest festive celebration — the Flemingate Christmas Light Switch-On and Firework Display!

Friday 14th November 2025 / 5:00PM – 7:30PM

Hosted by Adam Smith, the evening will be packed with festive entertainment for the whole family, featuring a live performance by Matt Terry, winner of The X Factor 2016. Known for his soulful voice and heartfelt performances, Matt will bring a touch of star power and Christmas cheer to the event.

Crowd favourites The Trilogies — featuringEmmerdale star Bradley Johnson (Vinnie Dingle), Freddie Bolt, and Nigel Passey — will return after last year’s show-stopping performance. The trio’s slick harmonies and feel-good classics from Stevie Wonder, Billy Ocean, and Elton John promise to get everyone singing along.

Local talent will shine too, with performances from up-and-coming star Lewis Pemberton and the winners of this year’s Flemingate Future Star competition — 12-year-old Leo Rena from Beverley and 22-year-old Giorgia Ursell from North Ferriby. Last year’s winner, Grace Langley, will return to the stage to hand over the crown.

Adding extra sparkle, Wicked’s Elphaba and Glinda will perform a show-stopping number from the eagerly anticipated Wicked: Part Two, while the cast of Talegate Theatre’s “Dick Whittington” and the Linkage College Choir will bring festive magic and community spirit to the line-up.
