Beverley’s Flemingate centre is to host a ‘pop-up’ indoor artisan craft fair this weekend, featuring a wide selection of local and regional artistic talent.

New and established artists and craftspeople will be able to showcase and sell their products in the first of a series of planned fairs to be held at the retail and leisure destination.

Up to 15 stalls will be located in a unit next to premium burger venue, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, on Sunday, October 2, from 11am to 4pm, with further events planned in for the first Sunday in November and the first weekend in December.

Graham Tait, Flemingate Centre Manager, said: “We’re really excited to host what we hope will be the first of many artisan craft fairs. It gives local artists and craftspeople the opportunity to showcase and sell their products with the added benefit of being indoors!

“We see ourselves as part and parcel of Beverley and we’re constantly reaching out to support the town as a whole. We’re keen to host events, support local initiatives and open up Flemingate and its facilities to the community.”

Stalls are still available. For bookings, prices and further details, email flemingateevents@gmail.com.

Visiting Flemingate could not be easier, with a 500-space car park on site offering three hours parking for just £1 and Beverley Railway Station just a couple of minutes’ walk away.

The Flemingate development – Beverley’s largest-ever regeneration scheme – includes big-name brands such as River Island, Debenhams and H&M and is also home to the East Riding College campus, an 80-bed Premier Inn hotel and six-screen digital cinema, Parkway.
