The exciting event takes place on Friday, November, 23, and will see a host of entertainment, followed by the light switch and a dazzling firework display which promises to be bigger and better than last year.

We are very excited to have an amazing Greatest Showman Tribute who will be singing songs from the film. Beverley FM are hosting the evening on stage with tv and radio presenter Adam Smith. We have Beverley’s Remarkable Rock Choir returning, who are guaranteed to get the crowds dancing and singing along to festive rock classics. Parkway Panto cast from Talegate Theatre’s ‘Jack and the Bean Stalk’ will be performing on stage… and after its success last year, Beverley’s very own Bartipi will be back again with their stunning Nordic tipi bar, complete with a roaring fire and cosy atmosphere, the perfect place to relax and enjoy a mulled wine.

The shops are also opening late, so visitors can make a start on their Christmas shopping too. It’s Black Friday so there will lots of great offers and promotions going on.

Make sure you enjoy something to eat and drink at the many restaurants and cafes with many of them putting on special Christmas treats for the night.

The Flemingate Christmas lights switch-on event begins at 5pm and due to end at 8pm. The light switch on is at 7.15pm. Late night shopping is until 9pm and Flemingate’s bars and restaurants are open as normal.

Parking in the 500-space car park is just £1 for three hours.
